Back with us after a glittery
year of touring ... and boy do we mean Glittery!
Joan's been away
playing Tanya in the world tour of
Mamma Mia, the Abba musical.
Joan grew up on a farm in
England's Peak District, developing the firm hand
and confident air necessary for gaining control of groups of dumb animals.
These strengths are, naturally, in great demand in a studio full of
voice-artists.
Joan has played a wide variety
of character roles on stage in theatres in the UK
and in touring productions all over the world.
Here's a snap of her in action
singing Abba in Shanghai!

Joan's on-screen credits
include appearances in City Central, Grange Hill
and Coronation Street, as well as presentation work for The Open University
and
BBC Enterprises' Help Yourself History.
Joan has an excellent ear
for accents and vocal characterisation.
She's been heard all over the world on the BBC World Service and has
also
recorded numerous talking books, language courses, exhibition guides
and, of course, radio commercials.
It takes a pretty smart cookie
to get one past our Joanie - she comes complete with a Degree in Psychology
and Mathematics!
