Charles Nove grew up in
Glasgow, developing a fascination with broadcasting at an early age.
His radio career
began in Hospital Radio in Glasgow in 1976
and he started broadcasting professionally in 1978 on BBC
Radio Scotland.
In 1981, he was invited to move to London to join BBC Radio
2, where he remained
on the staff until he launched his freelance career in 1989.

For 12 years,
Charles was associated with BBC Television's Come Dancing
as commentator and co-presenter.
He's also contributed to a wide variety of programmes, including
the UK Dance Championships,
World Circus Championships, Moscow State Circus, Variety Club
Awards,
Points of View, Matchpoint, Big Break and the National Lottery.
On Radio, Charles'
voice became familiar from regular Newsreading and Presenting
on BBC Radio 2. His legendary late-night Radio 2 shows are
even recalled
in the song Nove On The Sly by the cult band Half
Man Half Biscuit!
He has also been heard Presenting on London's Magic FM, Jazz
FM and on Glasgow's Saga Radio.
You can catch him on Radio 2 as part of the team on the UK's
favourite
breakfast show, Wake Up to Wogan.
Charles has
voiced many commercials and corporate video productions.
He also writes scripts and works in media training and consultancy.
Charles is the
